Lincecum's updated numbers through four starts: 3-0, 0.36 ERA, 25 innings, 9 hits, 1 run, .113 baa, 11 walks, 32 strikeouts.

With a 1-0 lead in the second inning, Lincecum ran into his biggest jam of the season. The 22 year old started the inning by walking the leadoff hitter, then hit Tucson third baseman Brian Barden in the hand with one of his 96 mph fastballs. After a wild pitch that advanced both runners, Lincecum surrendered his first run of the season on second baseman Matt Erickson’s sacrifice fly that tied the game 1-1.
“This is the first time in my career I have ever had to take a pitcher out with a no hitter going,” said Grizzlies manager Dan Rohn. “That’s the way it is.”
The Franchise is on a pretty strict pitch count and was yanked after 97 pitches Monday night According to Brian Sabean, Lincecum isn't long for the minors, but I still think (in my infinite scouting wisdom) that it would be a mistake to put him in the bullpen. You would hate to damage the kid's arm because of an acute need at the Major League level for a team that doesn't exactly I'd take an ace over a closer any day.

They have to do something about the bullpen though. I wanted Sanchez in the rotation for a long time but I also expected Ortiz to take a dump on the mound and make room, and that isn't happening. Right now, Sanchez is the only guy that doesn't make me cringe when he come in for "relief".
What’s with Bruce and the one batter relief pitching? Is he sticking strictly to statistics since the bullpen is so erratic? Have I mentioned Benitez has taken 6 years off my life?
