Kawakami: Blame must fall on Giants' G.M. Sabean, and it's time to go
I actually came across it today courtesy of Big D on the Giants Win blog (link to the right). If you for some reason didn't understand why this blog is titled "Lunatic Fringe," you will once you get to the end of Tim Kawakami's fantastic rant about Brian Sabean's failures as a GM. Of note, according to a Merc poll, 77% of Giants fans want Sabean fired.
By the way, the Jeremy Accardo for Shea Hillenbrand trade (as pointed out in the aforementioned article) is getting worse by the day. If you remember, Hillenbrand was never going to play another game for Toronto after fighting with the Jays' manager. Ever. Wasn't Toronto willing to give him away for two Molson's and $50?
Accardo's numbers are ridiculous: 25.1 innings, 16 hits, 3 runs, 7 walks, 25 strikeouts, 0.91 WHIP, .176 BAA, 3.60 K/BB, 8.88 K/9, 2.49 BB/9, 7 for 8 in Saves, 1 making everybody in Toronto forget about injured closer B.J. Ryan.
By the way, he's 23 fucking years old. That necessitated an F-bomb.
