Jesus.
The Franchise is making a pretty tough case against keeping him in Fresno. That is, he's too damned good for the minors.
Here's Lincecum's line from Sunday afternoon against Colorado Springs:
6 innings, 0 runs, 3 hits, 0 walks, 14 strikeouts.
That's not a typo.
14 strikeouts in 6 innings
Lincecum's stats on the year: 5 games, 4-0, 0.29 ERA, 31 innings, 12 hits, 11 walks, 46 K's, 0.74 whip, .119 baa.
With each start, Lincecum is making a case for the bigs. He made the #1 spot on Baseball America's Prospect Hot Sheet last week. Look for him to be prominently mentioned in the Baseball America pages tomorrow.
By the way, he's 4 months older than Matt Cain (who, oh by the way, owns a .109 baa this season).
